THE LIFE YOU ARE NAVIGATING

When daily life feels harder to manage.

Academic pressure, organization, sleep, and daily routines can be difficult to balance with relationships and emotional needs. Changes in identity, belonging, work, or independence may bring questions of their own.

I also offer care for anxiety, depressed mood, trauma, OCD, and sleep difficulties. Mild to moderate addictions may be discussed where this outpatient practice is an appropriate fit.

Young professionals are welcome, including those navigating work demands and transitions beyond college.

I take time to understand your history, what is happening now, and the values and goals you want care to respect.

YOUR PRIORITIES IN THE PLAN

Practical skills.
Personal autonomy.

Our work can focus on practical cognitive, emotional, and behavioral skills: understanding patterns, responding to difficult feelings, managing daily demands, and making choices that reflect your values. Strengthening autonomy is a central goal. This can include organizing study or work and exploring your own philosophy of life.

I personally provide psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment. Psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and medication when appropriate are individualized possibilities. We discuss the potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and follow-up together.

Attention and organization are explored in context. ADHD evaluation can be considered when clinically indicated; treatment recommendations follow the assessment.

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT

Your confidentiality & family involvement.

For adult students, family involvement and information sharing are discussed with you and require appropriate authorization, subject to applicable legal exceptions. We clarify confidentiality and communication arrangements as part of care.

When appropriate and with the student's permission, I can also help parents understand the challenges of this transition and how to provide support.

COLLEGE DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS

Documentation for a request.
Decisions through your college.

YOUR PREVIOUS SCHOOL SUPPORT

K–12 IEPs & Section 504 plans

Previous plans can help explain your history and supports that have been useful. They do not automatically establish accommodations at college.

YOUR COLLEGE’S PROCESS

A request through disability services

Colleges have their own procedures and documentation requirements. Students generally request support through the accessibility or disability-services office.

I can provide clinically appropriate documentation following psychiatric assessment to describe relevant clinical findings and functional difficulties. When appropriate and with your authorization, I can also communicate with college disability-services staff or participate in meetings related to accommodation requests. The college reviews requests and determines eligibility and accommodations.

Some documentation needs require formal neuropsychological or psychoeducational testing with a separate specialist.
