WHO WE HELP · ANN ARBOR & MICHIGAN
Find the right starting point for care.
My practice focuses on children, teens, college students, and young adults. Adults and older adults are also welcome. I consider the emotional needs, relationships, and transitions that shape each person’s experience.
GROWING UP · DEVELOPMENT, FAMILY & SCHOOL
Children, teens & families
When emotions, behavior, attention, or school life feel difficult, I consider the young person’s experience, development, relationships, and everyday context.
The young person’s perspective remains central as we work to understand what is happening and discuss appropriate support.
I offer care for anxiety, OCD, mood difficulties, emotional regulation, and anger or aggressive behavior. I also support autistic children and families, and children with ADHD or other neurodevelopmental concerns, academic stress, and difficult transitions. Concerns may also include selective mutism, Tourette syndrome, PTSD, attachment difficulties, and early relational trauma.
FOR PARENTS
Support for
parents, too.
I offer individualized support for parents in understanding emotional needs, coping patterns, and family relationships. School and therapist collaboration can be part of care when appropriate and authorized.
EMERGING ADULTHOOD · AUTONOMY & TRANSITIONS
More independence.
Space to find
your own direction.
I offer care for academic pressure, organizational challenges, emotional difficulties, relationships, identity, and the move toward independence.
This includes college students and young professionals seeking help with anxiety, depressed mood, trauma, OCD, sleep difficulties, or mild to moderate addictions.
We discuss your own values, choices, and goals. Involvement of family or other professionals is considered with you, where appropriate and authorized.
When appropriate and with the student's permission, I can also help parents understand the challenges of this transition and how to provide support.
ALSO WITHIN THE PRACTICE
Adults & older adults
I also help adults and older adults with anxiety, depression and other mood concerns, life transitions, or individualized medication review. We can discuss whether my practice is an appropriate fit for what you need.
Psychotherapy and supervised medication tapering can also be considered when appropriate to your needs.
IT IS ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE WHAT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT
You can start with
your own words.
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. A brief introduction gives us a chance to discuss your concerns and whether the practice may be a good fit. The concerns described here are examples, not a complete list. If yours is not listed, you are welcome to ask whether I can help.
Free 15-minute introduction by phone or video, not an evaluation or treatment appointment. A request is not a confirmed appointment. Age range and service suitability are discussed individually.
Private-pay, out-of-network care. Review fees before choosing paid care.
